⛺ Camp & stall rules
Coconino County Parks & Recreation (CCPR) Park Rules and Procedures apply to the camping and stall area. Please review before you arrive:
- Trailers and vehicles must be parked a minimum of twenty (20) feet away from all barns.
- To alleviate congestion and provide for smooth traffic flow at the stables, a designated parking area for vehicles and trailers may be assigned by CCPR staff.
- Renters must clean stall(s) daily and manure must be placed in designated areas.
- No stalls shall be used for any purpose other than for housing equine, livestock, tack or feed.
- Stalls used as tack rooms or for feed storage shall be charged at the regular stall fee. No tack rooms or feed storage stalls are permitted when all stalls are needed for horses.
- Equine may not be tied to trees, fencing, or buildings. All equines within the stables area must be stalled.
- All equines staying overnight on park premises must be stabled in permanent stalls. NO PORTABLE PENS.
- No animal shall be left unattended or unsupervised in the stables or arenas. The County is not responsible for animals, whether attended or not.
- Priority for stall rental will be given to events, except for Barn B, which is reserved for drop-in use.
- Event stall rental fees will be charged starting on pre-bedding or move-in days.
- Event Facility Renters are responsible for imparting and ensuring park, special event, and stable rules are known to event participants, spectators and attendees.
- Renters are responsible for ensuring all manure, hay, and trash is properly disposed of during and after the event.
- Camping in the stable area is permitted for those caring for a stabled animal or when associated with a special event.
- Campfires are not permitted in the stable area.
- Temporary stalls or corrals are not permitted in the stable area.
- The Special Event Coordinator assigns stalls and/or barns. Event Facility Renters may assign stalls once the Special Event Coordinator has assigned barns.
- Personal property may not remain in the stable premises after conclusion of the stall rental period.
- For security purposes, the east gate of the stable area will be locked at all times.
- Quiet time, including generators, in the stable area is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Dogs must be on leash at all times. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
- The speed limit throughout the stables area is 5 miles per hour.
- Failure to follow rules and procedures may result in eviction from the park.
